Nick’s Blu-ray Pick of the Week:  Shallow Grave from The Criterion Collection.  Danny Boyle’s dark and twisted feature film debut arrives on Blu-ray with an all new transfer supervised by the film’s director of photography.  Shallow Grave was a breakout film for both Ewan McGregor and Danny Boyle.  Extras include two audio commentaries (Danny Boyle, John Hodge and Andrew Macdonald), new interviews with Ewan McGregor, Kerry Fox, and Christopher Eccleston, vintage documentaries, trailers, and a booklet with an essay by film critic Philip Kemp.

Theatrical Review(s) of: Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Throw Your Money Away Instead of Buying…  Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.  This is a stinker in both two and three dimensions.  Ghost Rider 2 was so bad that I actually gave up on writing a theatrical review for the film because I just got tired of saying how incredibly bad it was.  I was thinking of writing a Blu-ray review of the film but then I realized I’d have to watch it again… no thanks.  If you decide to watch don’t say you weren’t warned.
