 New to Blu-ray November 29, 2011

While not totally unexpected this week’s Blu-ray release schedule is a little weaker than what we’ve become accustomed to recently.  At the end of the week there is at least one genuine hit being released but I doubt many of you are going to be running out to pick it up unless you’ve got a house full of kids with terrible taste in films.

New Releases

30 Minutes or Less- Not great but not terrible mostly because it didn’t overstay its welcome (Full Review HERE).  Extras include:

  • Picture-in-picture video commentary with director Ruben Fleischer and actors Jesse Eisenberg, Aziz Ansari, Danny McBride, and Nick Swardson
  • Blowing Up with the Cast & Crew of 30 Minutes or Less featurette
  • The Perfect Crime: Action and Comedy in 30 Minutes Or Less featurette
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Outtakes
  • 30 Minutes or Less PS3 Theme/Wallpaper

Our Idiot Brother- Highly recommended, (Full Review HERE).

  • Audio commentary with director Jesse Peretz
  • The Making of Our Idiot Brother featurette
  • Deleted and extended scenes

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil- Low budge horror-comedy that’s been on DVR for several months hits slashes its way onto Blu-ray with extras that include a “Making of” featurette and audio commentary.

The Smurfs- Meh…

  • The Smurfs (Blu-ray, DVD, UltraViolet Digital Copy) with The Smurfs: A Christmas Carol
  • The Smurfs 3D (3D Blu-ray, 2D Blu-ray, and DVD)

Friends with Benefits- aka No Strings Attached II: Electric Boogaloo gets two releases both with the same special features. One set is a Blu-ray/DVD Combo, the other is just the Blu-ray by itself.  Special Features include: Commentary with Writer/Director Will Gluck, Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, Deleted Scenes, Outtakes, and more.
